Square CR & HR
Texas Iron & Metal supplies both cold rolled and hot rolled square bars. Depending on your application, cold and hot rolled bars can be used for frame work, machine mounts, fixtures, frames, axels and ornamental work. Both types are ideal because of their workability and ability to machine.
Offering a smooth surface finish, cold rolled square bars are strong, durable and are easy to weld, cut, form and machine. Processed more than hot rolled steel square bars, cold rolled steel square bars are stronger, have less surface imperfections and are generally straighter.
Hot rolled square bars are exposed to intense heat allowing it to be shaped and formed. Typically have a rougher exterior and shrinking once cooled, hot rolled square bars are used in applications where tolerances are not as tight.
Texas Iron & Metal offers cold rolled and hot rolled square bars ranging from .3 lbs per foot all the way up to 122.40 lbs plus per foot. They are available in a variety of sizes as well.
