Texas Iron & Metal stocks cold rolled steel hexagonal (hex) bars, named after the product’s six sides created from heated steel passing through rollers. Our hex bars have increased mechanical properties and good case hardening qualities. Because of its workability, Texas Iron & Metal’s hex bar is easy to weld, cut, form and machine.
Ideal for a variety of applications, steel hex bar is used in chemical equipment, aerospace parts, tanks, marine equipment and a host of other projects. It is also a good material to make moving parts and small parts like bolts, screws, gears and valves.
Texas Iron & Metal offers hex bars ranging from 1/4″ to 3” in diameter. Our hex bars are available in a variety of lengths as well.
