Steel in the Family. Dear Loyal Customers and Friends, Since our humble beginnings back in the mid 1920's, Texas Iron & Metal has grown to be one of the oldest and most respected providers of prime and Less-Than-Prime© steel and pipe in Houston. When my grandfather first started the business from the back of his pick-up truck, his main business was scrap. But as the times changed, so did Texas Iron & Metal. The industry changed dramatically, and our business evolved into new and surplus steel and pipe. Today, our ongoing mission is to be the provider of choice within our industry, so we have learned the importance of attracting and maintaining a 'family' of highly skilled team members. Our employees are the heart and soul of our business, which means they must share our passion for giving each and every customer an exceptional Texas Iron & Metal experience. We aim to have the best customer service and the widest variety of material choices available with the quickest turnaround to better serve you. And we're proud to say that more than 80 years later, our family is 'steel' in the business. So we'd like to thank you, our valued customers and friends, for your continued support. We look forward to many more years of serving you. Sincerely, Max Reichenthal
